Meet Kaitlyn Allen, MOT, OTR/L 

Hi! I'm Kaitlyn Allen, a pediatric occupational therapist and the proud owner of Growing Independence, PLLC. I'm passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential through creative, play-based therapy that feels less like "work" and more like fun.

With a background in Occupational Therapy from Trinity Washington University and 6+ years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities, I specialize in supporting skills that help kids succeed in their everyday routines - whether that be getting dressed, writing their name, playing with friends or trying new activities with confidence.

As both a therapist and the owner of Growing Independence, my goal is to partner with families, celebrate each milestone, and create a supportive environment where every child and family can grow, explore and shine.

When I am not working, you can usually find me enjoying the outdoors with my husband, two kids and our dogs, chasing the chickens in my backyard, gardening, swimming, camping or visiting Chincoteague Island.
